The Mission
Yucca Historic Preservation was built from years of hands-on volunteer work in historic cemeteries across Central Texas, with a passion for historic Black cemeteries. Restoring damaged markers, researching burial records, and working to preserve places and communities that are overlooked or underserved was the priority.
Today, that work has grown into a full-time preservation practice focused on the conservation of historic monuments. I specialize in treating and preserving fragile and complex markers using the highest-quality materials, permeable foundation systems, and repair techniques designed for long-term stability and historical accuracy.
My approach goes beyond the physical repair of stone. Each project includes careful documentation, inscription interpretation, and historical research to better understand the individuals and communities represented. This ensures that preservation work respects not just the material, but the history it carries.
Yucca Preservation remains deeply committed to the protection of historically significant and underrepresented cemeteries, while serving a wide range of historic burial grounds throughout the region.

Who I Am
Jenna Bollweg, Owner/Operator
I am a historic cemetery conservator, preservation consultant, community archivist, and local historian specializing in the documentation, conservation, and interpretation of historic cemeteries and grave markers throughout Central Texas. Through Yucca Preservation LLC, I provide expert monument stabilization, repair, and cleaning services alongside assessments, surveys, photographic and technical documentation, historical and genealogical research, and preservation planning. My work emphasizes retaining original materials, using historically and materially appropriate conservation methods, and developing sustainable approaches to long-term cemetery stewardship. I have particular experience working with fragile and deteriorated historic monuments, recovering and documenting damaged or fragmented markers, and researching the people and communities represented within historic burial grounds. My consulting work combines hands-on conservation with archival research, genealogy, community history, and public education to help organizations better understand, preserve, prioritize, and interpret historic cemetery resources.
